Ship stock to another branch — it leaves the source only after you confirm it arrived.

Moving stock between locations is a transfer — a two-step handshake: the sending branch dispatches it, the receiving branch confirms it. Stock that left but hasn't arrived sits in transit — so nothing silently vanishes mid-route.
Send stock
- Open Stock transfers → Create transfer.
- Pick the source and destination locations.
- Add items and quantities — only units actually on hand at the source can go.
- Dispatch it. The transfer enters dispatched status.
Note: Stock counts come out of the source location when the transfer is dispatched — the "in transit" accounting makes sure it's not counted twice.
Receive it
At the destination branch:
- Open Stock transfers and find the incoming transfer.
- Check the shipment against the listed items and mark what arrived.
- Confirm — the units land in the destination's stock.
The statuses
- Draft — created, not sent
- Dispatched — left the source, in transit
- Received — arrived and booked in at the destination
- Cancelled — voided
Permissions
Creating/dispatching and receiving can sit under different staff permissions — so a cashier can ship to a branch without being able to confirm receipts there.
