Stock drifts — a breakage, a miscount, a theft. Adjustments are the honest fix: a documented correction, not a silent edit.
Adjust a product's stock
- Open the product in Products (click its row).
- Change its on-hand quantity for the location.
- Save — SYEZPOS writes an adjustment movement ("Admin set stock to X") so the ledger explains the jump.
Note: Adjusting stock needs the stock.adjust permission — it's owner/admin by default, because an open adjustment button on the till is how shrinkage hides.
Audit every movement
Stock history (Stock movements) is the cross-location feed — every purchase in, sale out, transfer, return and adjustment, grouped into events with badges. Filter by event type or product to trace one number back to its source.
Per product, the stock ledger (from the product row or Stock page) shows the same trail scoped to one item — opening → purchased → transfers → adjustments → sold → closing.
The right fix for each case
| What happened | Use |
|---|---|
| Counted wrong / breakage | Stock adjustment (above) |
| Shelf doesn't match at scale | Stock take — a proper count |
| Shipment going out to a branch | Transfer, not an adjustment |
| Customer brought it back | Return, not an adjustment |
