POS Discounts & Promotions
A discount decided at the counter is a margin decision made without the owner. In most shops the cashier obliges a regular, the 'customer discount' becomes routine, and the leak only shows at month end. SYEZPOS makes discounting deliberate: limits per role, manager approval for anything beyond them, and reports that show which offers moved stock and which just burned margin.

Discounting is a margin decision, not a favour
In most Pakistani shops, the discount is negotiated at the counter — a regular asks, the cashier obliges, and the owner discovers the leak when the month is already gone. A 'small' ten percent given freely across a busy day quietly turns a profitable shelf into a breakeven one, and nobody can say where the margin went.
SYEZPOS makes every discount deliberate and recorded. Discounts can be applied as a percentage or a fixed amount, on a single item or the whole bill — and each one is tied to the sale, the cashier and the product. Generosity gets a paper trail, which is usually enough to make it selective.
- Item-level and whole-bill discounts at checkout.
- Percentage or fixed-amount discounts.
- Every discount tied to the sale, cashier and product.
Manager approval beyond the limit
This is the heart of controlled discounting. Each role gets a discount ceiling — a cashier might be allowed five percent, a supervisor fifteen. Inside the limit, selling continues without friction. Beyond it, the POS pauses and asks for a manager's approval at the counter, before the sale can complete.
The same control covers refunds, so the two most common leak points — over-discounting and over-refunding — are both governed by approval instead of trust alone. Approvals are logged, which means the owner can review who approved what, on which sale, and when.
- Discount limits set per role or per user.
- Over-limit discounts require manager approval to complete.
- Refunds follow the same approval control.
Promotions you can actually measure
A promotion that cannot be measured is just a price cut. Shops run a weekend deal or a clearance push, watch the units move and still cannot say whether the offer made money or simply sold the same stock cheaper.
With SYEZPOS, discounted sales flow into the same sales and product reports as everything else. Compare the promotion period against normal weeks, see which products responded to the offer and which merely sold at a lower price — then repeat the offers that actually worked.
- Track sales during promotion periods.
- Compare discounted vs regular product performance.
- Spot offers that moved stock vs ones that burned margin.
Margin protection that survives rush hour
A control that slows the queue will be bypassed by Friday evening. Approval prompts sit inside the normal checkout flow, so the counter keeps moving while the rules hold — and offline billing means the sale still records and syncs when the internet drops.
After the fact, discount reports by cashier and product show the patterns: the cashier who discounts every fifth bill, the product that never sells at full price. That is the data you need to coach the team and fix pricing, instead of suspecting a leak you cannot prove.
- Limits enforced inside the normal checkout flow.
- Discount reports by cashier reveal habits.
- Product-level discount history protects pricing decisions.

Who its for
Who needs controlled discounting
Any retailer where more than one person runs the counter — supermarkets, fashion and cosmetics stores, electronics and mobile shops — anywhere the owner's pricing slips the moment the owner steps out.
If you have ever asked 'who gave this discount?' and got silence, or found month-end margin thinner than the price list says it should be, approval-gated discounts close that gap without slowing the counter down.
